THE SCRIPTURE

We believe that the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments are the infallible Word of God, that they are a divine and complete revelation, that they are verbally inspired of the Holy Spirit, and that they are the supreme and final binding authority of faith and practice (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:21).

THE GODHEAD

We believe in one sovereign Almighty God, existing eternally in three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Gen. 1:1; Mat. 28:19; John 4:24).

THE LORD JESUS CHRIST

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin.  He is one hundred percent (100%) God and one hundred percent (100%) man without confusion or conflict of the two natures, and that He is the only Savior of man (Mat. 1:18; John 14:6; Acts 4:12; John 1:14; Phil. 2:5-8; Isa. 7:14).

THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine person, equal with God the Father and God the Son and of the same nature.  He is sent by the Lord Jesus Christ from God the Father to convict the world of sin, to regenerate, seal, indwell, guide, teach, anoint, and intercede with each believer, and to baptize him into the body of Christ (John 16:7-11), and fill him for service (John 15:26; Mat. 28:19; Eph. 1:13; John 3:5-6; Rom. 8:9-10, 26-27; 1 Cor. 12:13).

 

MAN

We believe that man was created in innocence by God, but by voluntary transgression, fell from his sinless and happy state, in consequence of which all mankind are now sinners, not only by constraint, by choice, and therefore are under just condemnation without defense or excuse, and are incapable of any personal effort of merit for salvation (Gen. 1:26-27; 3:6-24; Rom. 3:10-23; Isa. 64:6).

BLOOD ATONEMENT

We believe in the shed blood of Jesus Christ as the only atonement for sin (Rom. 3:24-25; 1 Peter 1:18-19; 2:24).

THE CHURCH

We believe that the Church consists of all those who in this dispensation are truly born again by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, through the Holy Spirit, that the Church is the Body and Bride of Christ, and that her mission is to witness for Him to all nations (Acts 1:8; 4:32-33; Eph. 5:22-32).  We believe that the local New Testament church is the “pillar and ground of truth,” whose ordinances are baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper (1 Tim. 3:15; Mat. 28:19; 1 Cor. 11:23-33).

JUSTIFICATION BY FAITH

We believe that justification is the judicial act of God, whereby He justly declares righteous one who believes on Jesus Christ.  Justification originates in grace and is through the redemptive and propitiatory work of Christ (Rom. 3:23; Tit. 3:5-7; Eph. 2:8-9).

DEATH, RESURRECTION, AND ASCENSION OF CHRIST

We believe in the vicarious death, the bodily resurrection, and the bodily ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 1:3, 9; 2:32-26; 1 Cor. 15:20; 1 Tim. 3:16).

THE BLESSED HOPE

We believe in the personal, premillennial and imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 1:11; 1 Thes. 4:13-17; Tit. 2:13).

ETERNAL SECURITY (LIFE)

We believe in eternal security in Christ of the true believer.  We also believe that the child of God must bear a testimony and manifest the fruit of the Spirit (1 John 5:9-13; Rom. 8:35-39; 1 Pet. 1:3-5; John 10:28-29; Gal. 5:22-23; Mat. 5:15; 1 Cor. 6:19-20; John 15:1-14).  This church supports neither hyper-Calvinism, nor hyper-Arminianism.  God has decreed that man is a free moral agent who is responsible for his actions (Rom. 6:23) and at the same time, in His sovereignty, works all things to accomplish His purposes (Eph. 1:11).

SATAN

We believe in the personality of Satan, that he was judged at the cross, was once holy and enjoyed heavenly honors, but through pride and ambition to be as the Almighty, fell and drew after him a host of angles, and is now prince of the power of the ari and the ungodly god of this world.  We hold him to be man’s great tempter, the enemy of God and His Christ, the author of all false religions, the chief power back of the present apostasy, the lord of the Antichrist, the author of all the power fo darkness, who is destine to be defeated at the hands of God’s Son, and sentenced to eternal hell prepared for him and his angels (John 16:11; Job 1:6-7; Isa. 14:12-17; Eph. 2:2, 6:12; Rev. 20:10, 15; 1 Pet. 5:8; 2 Cor. 11:13-15).

HELL AND ETERNAL PUNISHMENT

We believe that all who do not accept Christ as their own personal Lord and Savior in this present life will throughout eternity exist in a state of conscious and endless torment (Rev. 20:15; Mat. 25:46; Mark 9:42-50; John 3:18; 2 Peter 3:7; Luke 15:19-31).

CREATION

We believe that God created the universe in six literal, 24 hour periods.  We reject evolution, the Gap Theory, the Day-Age Theory, and Theistic Evolution as unscriptural theories of origin (Gen. 1-2; Exodus 20:11).

 

MISSION OF THE CHURCH

We believe that we must know Christ, and be known of Him, and make Him known “in the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings,” in presenting the Gospel to all nations.  As commissioned we must, “Go ye, therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you . . .” (Mat. 28:19-20; Phil. 3:10; Acts 1:8).

HUMAN SEXUALITY

We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman.  We believe that any form of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, bestiality, incest, fornication, adultery, and pornography are sinful perversions of God’s gift of sex.  We believe that God disapproves of and forbids any attempt to alter one’s gender by surgery or appearance (Gen. 2:24; 19:5, 13; 26:8-9; Lev. 26:8-9; 18:1-30; Rom. 1:26-29; 1 Cor. 5:1; 6:9; 1 Thes. 4:1-8; Heb. 13:4). We believe that the only legitimate marriage is the joining of one man and one woman (Gen. 2:24; Rom. 7:2; 1 Cor. 7:10; Eph. 5:22-23).
